NSA’s Papao Farm to boost youth jobs under ‘Nkokɔ Nketenkete’ initiative

The National Service Authority’s (NSA) Papao Farm in Accra is opening new doors of opportunity for Ghana’s young people. As part of President John Dramani Mahama’s visionary ‘Nkokɔ Nketenkete’ initiative, the farm is designed to create dignified and sustainable jobs for the youth across the nation — transforming agriculture into a pathway of hope and prosperity.

The development was revealed on the official Facebook page of the Ghana National Service Authority, where the NSA highlighted the farm’s role in shaping agriculture as a driver of youth empowerment.

The project aims to empower young graduates and service personnel by providing them with hands-on training, modern farming techniques, and access to agribusiness opportunities. Officials say the initiative will not only boost food production but also make agriculture an attractive career option for Ghana’s next generation.

The Papao Farm serves as a model hub, demonstrating how targeted investment in agribusiness can tackle unemployment while contributing to national development.

With the ‘Nkokɔ Nketenkete’ program, government says it is reimagining national service — moving beyond the traditional classroom and office postings, and instead building entrepreneurial mindsets in vital sectors like agriculture, technology, and green industries.
